Hi Chris! I see Rocket Rack has three different rack types. Which racks should I use in which areas?
Excellent question. Rocket Rack does have three rack types: Tented, Standard, and Flat.
- Tented Rack is fabricated with the slot and mounting holes cut on the heel of the angle, and is meant to be hung trapeze style. Its sloped design makes it perfect for use in hygienic areas, as there are no horizontal surfaces where dirt and bacteria can accumulate.
- Standard Rack is fabricated with the slot and mounting holes cut into the leg of the angle and is also meant to be hung trapeze style. It is better suited for industrial areas or when mounting PVC-coated conduit, as it has been built for higher load ratings.
- Flat Rack is used mainly for vertical or horizontal pipe runs mounted along a wall or supported by Rocket Posts—it should never be hung trapeze style. It allows for easy access during cleaning and is ideal for hygienic areas.
